Gail and Ross hosted their Yarra Valley wedding on a glorious September day at Balgownie Estate. Set on a hill amongst miles of picturesque vineyards, it’s no wonder its one of the most popular venues in the area. Offering loads of facilities for their guests including accommodation, a day spa and restaurant.
Leading a busy life Gail wanted to enlist the help of professionals to take care of the details and come up with a modern classic concept for their wedding day. The wonderful girls at Lettuce and Co did just this, sticking to a neutral colour pallet of white and green they added natural textures of wood with pops of teal for a bit of fun. A cocktail style event had tall bar tables around the room for guests to lean on, a couple of larger tables for people who wanted to take a seat and a wonderful wild installation above the dance floor where guests would get their groove on.
Being one of our favourite months for flowers and trying to stay away from the traditional white rose we used a combination of ranunculus, Andromeda, tulips, hyacinth, paper whites and Hellebores. Greenery with lots of lovely texture and grey tones such as olive, rosemary, gum and ivy berry let the loose and wild style shine through.
