This pretty garden wedding was held at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial Gardens with the reception at the Willows on St Kilda Road in the heart of Melbourne. Jules wanted a pretty garden theme for her January wedding. Taking inspiration from some Amy Butler fabric, we set out to create a pastel wonderland abundantly filled with seasonal flowers and fun elements.
Keeping the ceremony simple we decorated the chairs with paint-dipped bottles filled with sweet posies. A large ceremony vase and a decorated bar were some of the pretty details. After the couple were pronounced husband and wife the guests were encouraged to have drinks around the picturesque pond and enjoy the privacy of the walled garden.
The highlight of the reception space at The Willows were 3 delicate chandeliers filled with paint-dipped bottles and flowers hung over the guest tables. Tablecloths made from the Amy Butler fabric that had been our inspiration adorned the tables along with 4-5 jars of colour-blocked flowers. The space was transformed into a pretty pastel greenhouse.
A candy bar and butter cream wedding cake sorted out the sweet toothed guests. A DJ kept the music pumping and the guests danced the night away.
